Three years ago (in January, 2006) INPUT, represented by Helmut Müller and Hannes Triebnik, were commissioned by the government of Chihuahua / Mexico to develop a unique tourism project for the Copper Canyon National Park, or more precisely, for Basaseachi. Copper Canyon is one of the largest canyons in the world, and much bigger than the Grand Canyon in the USA. Copper Canyon / Divisadero is located 400 kilometres north of the capital city of Chihuahua, Mexico's largest state. Sharing a border with the USA, Chihuahua is right in the middle of the traditional land of the indigenous American Indian Tarahumara people. The task was to increase the value creation of the local tourism industry.
INPUT successfully developed a concept, and subsequently a master plan, in harmony not only with the prevailing natural features, but primarily with local culture and tradition.
The execution of this extraordinary master plan will be kicked off with the construction of the most substantial component, a spectacular aerial tramway!
Further steps are required to implement the project, and will be pursued resolutely in the future by INPUT, together with the government of Chihuahua - Office of Commercial and Tourism Development.

For now, however, this aerial tramway will cause a global sensation! It is not just a technical challenge, but should also allow people to experience the flight into the canyon in a unique way.
Span width: 2750m
Greatest distance from the ground: 200m
Capacity: 510 p/h
Number of cabins: 2
Cabin capacity: 60 persons
The project is also extraordinary for the reason that a large number of Doppelmayr subsidiaries cooperated with Input in a remarkable manner. An outstanding example of how integrated a feature cooperation is of the Doppelmayr Group.
