Inauguration of the new sky glider in Fiss / Tyrol

Press release:

On august 6th, Andi Goldberger, possibly the best known ski-jumper of the past, opened the Fisser sky glider to its use.

Andi Goldberger, three time world cup champion in ski jumping, and the first person to breach the 200 meter barrier, put on his pilot jacket. Adrenaline was immanent, when suddenly everything happened very fast.
The Fisser sky glider, a flying device which resembles the delta dragon, can accommodate up to 4 passengers. The glider accelerates fast, flies with over 80 kilometres an hour down the mountain, over the Möseralm, and lands safely at the ground station. A real kick for everybody. The flying distance is 700 meters while reaching a maximum altitude of 47 meters.

Goldberger´s comments after the first few flights: “Awesome! It is great fun and an absolute new feeling. Flying is the best!” Representatives of business and politics were also present at the opening, and marvelled at the installations in Fiss. Vice-governor of Tyrol Hannes Gschwendtner said after the inauguration:
I am a big fan of the skiing region of Serfaus – Fiss – Ladis in Winter. I would not have thought that the summer program is so outstanding.”
Chairman of the funiculars in Fiss, Alois Geiger and mayor Markus Pale were of the opinion:
No pain no gain! Only he who offers innovative sport and leisure time programs will be able to attract active guests and at the same time beat concurring firms. The big number of guests, business trips and international excursions underline our success.”
The Fisser Flitzer, probably the most sportive summer sleigh track in the Alps, and the Fisser sky glider, an absolute novelty in the mountains, have ascended to the top entertainment field.
What will happen after these two successful summer installations?
That is being kept secret. Surely new surprises are being forged.
