New impulses for the Silvretta Montafon

The Doppelmayr subsidiary Input developed a concept for the Hochjoch area in the Silvretta Montafon in Vorarlberg in order to increase its attractiveness for summer guests.

The Montafon in Vorarlberg stands for winter sports and is very popular with locals and guests from all over the world. The Silvretta Montafon ski area offers spectacular descents and freeriding opportunities. The aim of the Silvretta Montafon is to make the hitherto pure winter destination with its spectacular mountain scenery more attractive to summer tourists and families and to create more offers for the warm season.

Authentic and based on the region
The adventure mountain Hochjoch, which opened in the summer of 2019 directly at the mountain station of the Hochjoch Bahn, goes exactly in this direction. Input conceived a semi-natural, sustainable world of experience related to the Montafon. "The concept is completely adapted to the Montafon with its impressive mountain scenery - authentic and honest. The red thread runs through. In addition, the new offer was perfectly embedded in the existing infrastructure, "says Hannes Triebnik, Managing Director of Input.

The concept includes many interactive stations to try out and experience. This allows children to put their sense of balance to the test on the Motorik playground. On the bridge between the climbing rocks, they get to know the first adventurous thrill. Bobbins imitate an unpaved surface, as you will find it when hiking. The stations of the so-called natural power path convey playful and sustainable knowledge about the elements in the mountains. The one-hour hike is also very interactive. At Seebiotop different elements invite you to linger and play. Children can shoot up water fountains, propel rafts through wave pumps and walk on the barefoot path new sensory worlds.

Popular with guests
All in all, an exciting adventure world with a high fun factor was created. Martin Oberhammer, Managing Director of Silvretta Montafon, draws a pleasing conclusion after the first summer: "The Hochjoch adventure mountain is very well received by our guests and we receive a lot of positive feedback". Summer tourism at the Hochjoch received a new impetus. With the expansion of such offers, the Silvretta Montafon is increasingly becoming a year-round destination for mountain experiences - including enthusiastic guests.
